Nationals of the mentioned countries may also choose to get a visa at Rwandan Missions (except UN Mission in New York) or online: USA, Germany, South Africa, Great Britain, Sweden, Australia, Israel and New Zealand.

Nationals of Singapore, Hong Kong, Mauritius and Philippines are exempted from entry/tourism visa for a stay of up to 90 days.

Nationals of countries not mentioned above shall get visa upon application online before travelling and pay prescribed fee of $30 for a single entry visa on arrival. All travellers needing to obtain a visa before arrival in Rwanda need to obtain an invitation / facilitation letter from the Rwandan Government before leaving their home country. The application for the letter can be found and completed online on the Rwanda immigration website – https://www.migration.gov.rw/online_visa/ or https://www.migration.gov.rw/en/services/visa/entry-visa/v1-entry-visa/ ; http://www.migration.gov.rw/index.php?id=203

Please go to single entry visa (unless entering more than once), then submit the online form. It normally takes about 3-5 days for the letter to be issued. The letter will be emailed to you and you must bring it with you to Rwanda in order to get the visa upon arrival.

MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA:

Multiple entry visa must be obtained from a Rwanda or Uganda Embassy/Mission/Consulate in advance to arriving in Rwanda. Cost is $50 and valid for 90 days.

EAST AFRICAN TOURIST VISA:

The holder of the East Africa Tourist Visa shall enter the region from the country that issued the visa and move within the two other countries without applying for another visa or paying another visa fee. In addition, when traveling to East Africa, all passports must have at least two consecutive blank pages for

each country you plan to visit (not including endorsement pages).

SINGLE ENTRY VISA-

A single-entry Ugandan tourist visa can be obtained upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport for $50 USD (subject to change at any time without notice), is valid for 3 months and must be paid in CASH—U.S. dollars or the equivalent in pounds sterling or euros. Make sure you have enough money on hand, upon arrival in Uganda, to cover this expense. VERY IMPORTANT: It is essential to bring crisp, new-format (dated year 2006 or newer), larger bills ($50 and $100 U.S. bills), with no blemishes. Smaller bills do not receive as favorable an exchange rate as larger bills but do come in handy for tipping. Older, worn or torn bills will not be accepted.

If a visa is not required in advance then we highly recommend waiting until arrival to obtain your visa, as the process is fairly quick and easy. Passport-style photos are not required for visas purchased upon arrival.

MULTIPLE ENTRY TOURIST VISA-
A multiple tourist visa for Uganda, Rwanda & Kenya is now available and is $100 and valid for 1 year and can now be obtained upon arrival in Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda.
