Paul is the head guide for Gather Away and currently leads the majority of their private tours. He came to Jackson Hole 20 years ago and never left. With the unparalleled access to wildlife and wilderness, there is no better place for him to live and guide in the lower 48. Paul has committed himself to the conservation of our lands through education as one of the preeminent naturalist guides in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. He is also a skilled wildlife photographer and experienced photography guide.
Julie handles all the itinerary planning, operations and serves as the local concierge for all Gather Away tours and guests. Julie started her career in travel as a horse trekking guide on the South Island of New Zealand in 2004. Since then she has guided active vacations for leading tour operator, Backroads; planned and operated itineraries for Natural Habitat Adventures; and developed custom global study trips worldwide for top universities including New York University, University of Michigan, Stanford University and many more. With travel to more than 60 countries (and counting!), Julie seeks out beautiful landscapes to explore and be active before returning home at the end of a rewarding day to a bit of luxury.
Paul and Julie met while working in Manitoba, Canada. Paul was guiding wildlife trips to experience the Polar Bears of Churchill in their natural habitat. Julie was behind the scenes managing the trip logistics. Today they call Jackson, Wyoming their home.
